Substitute Notebook From a special education (life skills) teacher at Oak Harbor High School in Oak Harbor, Washington: "I have a red notebook, clearly marked, where I keep all my substitute information. The front contains basic information such as the school map, evacuation procedures, seizure first aid, etc. There is also a divided section for the teacher and each of the assistants. We put a copy of our daily schedule in there, lesson plans and other notes. The substitute notebook is always stored in a very visible location."
